Alec Brown claims East Asia Super League Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced American Alec Brown (216-C-1992) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Taoyuan Pilots and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 33-year old center had a double-double of 35 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Macau BB (#4, 0-5), the league's bottom-ranked team 95-83. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Pilots to consolidate first place in the East Asia Super League. Pilots have a solid 4-1 record. In the team's last game Brown had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Pilots, through which he has constantly improved. Alec Brown averages this season 20.8ppg and 8.2rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Croatian swingman Dominic Gilbert (198-G/F-1996, agency: Players Group) of Hong Kong Eastern Long Lions. Gilbert impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led HK Eastern to another comfortable win 96-83 over slightly higher-ranked Seoul Knights (#1, 3-2) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. HK Eastern consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 2-2 record is not bad at all. Gilbert is a newcomer at HK Eastern and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Darryl Monroe (202-C/F-1986) of top-ranked Seoul SK Knights. Monroe showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 14 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Monroe's great performance the Knights lost 83-96 to #3 ranked HK Eastern. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Seoul Knights needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Monroe has a great season in East Asia Super League. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.4rpg (6th best).
